Aldridge was called upon to participate in a new Publix supermarket construction project in Winston-Salem, NC. We were asked to provide all supermarket refrigeration systems and related equipment. The first step was to source, deliver, and install all necessary refrigeration piping, including overhead piping, between all mechanical centers as well as each refrigeration circuit. Next, we delivered, set, and installed all condensers, mechanical centers, refrigeration cases, evaporator coils, and other refrigeration equipment. Finally, we brought in and installed the necessary energy management system components.
After all new refrigeration systems and equipment were successfully installed, we moved on to the testing and verification phase. This phase started with pressure testing all piping to confirm there were absolutely no leaks. Next, we tested each pump to a vacuum below 500 microns. After all testing was completed successfully, we performed an initial startup of the system to ensure all refrigeration and energy management equipment were functioning correctly.
This supermarket refrigeration installation’s warranty covered any service calls the client placed within 90 days after the new Publix’s grand opening ceremony.
